I always liked to observe the architectural patterns in Ottawa, especially when mirroring in glass windows. Here there are some representative images from my multiple photos I took in Canada’s capital when I used to live there. You can see some representing patterns, intersecting lines, rows and geometry in the architecture of this beautiful old and new city.
#1 – Window reflections and architectural patterns, downtown Ottawa
#2 – Lines and patterns of a modern office building on Spark street, Ottawa. It’s all glass, steel and concrete.
While the first two photos can be seen in my Travelwaysphotos.com, these below are available as art prints at Fine Art America.ย Just click on them to see my architecture collection.

#3 – Old and New
Here are some reflections of the historic Parliament architecture reflected in the modern buildings across the street.

And this looks like a perfect puzzle, all created by the glass reflections – no Photoshop involved:
I don’t know how they managed to do that, but this is what I saw on a side of the still and glass buildings downtown. The Canadian dollar bill enlarged and also showing the queen’s portrait was there as an advertising for something. I couldn’t resist to take the photo ๐
#4 – My favorite is Ottawa’s art Museum glass tower
At night it gets illuminated in a red ruby color. Is it not pretty?
Take me home! is the title of this image I took in a pet store in Ottawa, Canada.
Would you adopt a kitten?
Before you answer just look in their eyes… do they tell you anything?
I saw them in a small pet store in Ottawa Canada. They were abandoned kittens from an animal shelter.
The store was selling them for $129.00 to make sure they will be adopted by someone who really cares about them. Ottawa.
There are many commercials on TV, begging for donations or adoption and all those animals are heart breaking… however seeing them with my own eyes is different.
I don’t generally take too many photos of cats, but these guys were so endearing… their eyes were really saying “Take me home!”
I couldn’t take them, because we are constantly traveling, but I took this photo, printed it and brought it to that pet store. They could stick it on the door to attract people willing to adopt pets like this…
So, ifย you would like to have a print of them too, here it is, available in different sizes and formats. Click on the image to find more info…

The Monsoon season in Arizona is a blessing after the almost painful dryness of the winter, when everybody and everything was desperately in need of a little water. In Arizona there was a little rain in June this year, but it didn’t last.
The olive green of the desert is nice anyway – I always loved it ๐

The real rain and thunderstorms started in mid July with the Monsoon season and that brought everything to life ๐ It’s amazing how beautiful the nature is in the desert after the rain – it becomes a verdant place.
Buds and cactus flowers started to bloom in a gorgeous beauty, and it feels like springtime…
Prickly pear cacti with their buds look almost like beads decorating the otherwise arid Arizona desert landscape. – Their colors vary from pink to wine, burgundy or even ruby. What a beautiful nature! I took these photos this morning: August 1st, 2018 ๐

The Monsoon season in Arizona also brings to life the funky looking Barrel cacti ๐

Barrel cacti in Green Valley, Arizona
On top they are decorated with those yellow buds that after the rain start to bloom into orange bright, but very sharp flowers.

I love to see theses unusual Ocotillo plants (Fouquieria splendens) which are leafless the rest of the year. The Monsoon season in Arizona brings them to life too. At this time, the long thin and bald terete Ocotillos steams get also covered by thousands of small fresh bright green leaves. Quite a transformation! ๐
