Tail is a pedigree Golden Retriever and he likes to fetch 🙂

Golden Retriever fetching a stick from the waterFetching comes to these dogs naturally, since they are hunters, especially for game birds. They are also very friendly and playful, and happily jump into the water to retrieve that stick you throw. It’s a great way to spend some hours outside, and a good exercise for dogs as well. Playing with the dog is also the best way to make friends 🙂 Many would love to participate in the throwing the stick game, especially in a sunny beautiful day. It was at the same pond near Hartwells Locks on Rideau Canal, Ottawa, Canada where I got the pictures of the ducklings.

Here he is again looking very serious and determined in accomplishing his job right 🙂

Irish dog retrieving a stick from te waterI don’t know if they need have a pedigree to do this… most of the Golden Retriever dogs I think have it, but this is so unimportant for such a lovely dog like Tailor, and we had such a good time in his and his owners company that day 🙂

I took these photos also because I liked the way he was emerging from the water, the ripples, and of course the reflections.

I love to observe and photograph the skewed lines and shapes produced by reflections. Whether produced by windows or water surfaces, they create beautiful artistic abstracts.

In this case I photographed a big wall of windows on a building in Bremerhaven, Germany.
I found it in a small harbor, more like a marina for leisure boating in this area of the city.

It was a cold but sunny winter morning. Luckily we spent the night in a hotel located right on the waterside. I took my camera and stepped out, in the crisp January air. The light was fantastic and everything was just perfect for some great pictures.

The place was quite busy. Some people were going to work, others were just starting their day in the house boats parked in the marina. I looked at this modern building across the water several times. It was just amazing to see how the urban activity was continuously changing, reflecting in this glass wall.

I spent some time watching the moving skewed lines and shapes reflected there. It was a huge living urban art by a genius architect. I was simply captivated by the view, and I could have spent hours and hours in front of it. My husband was waiting for me to get to the breakfast and hit the road, though 🙂

The dancing fountains on Las Vegas Strip is a free show not to be missed at Bellagio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas

Dancing Fountains on Las Vegas StripThe dancing fountains show in front of Bellagio hotel on Las Vegas Strip is literally breathtaking. The exploding water from the Bellagio Lake looks exactly like a dance, synchronized to music. It’s a totally free show that you will not forget.

The Dancing Fountains on Las Vegas Strip

The water show at Bellagio, on Las Vegas Strip is one of the most photographed attractions in Las Vegas. I never get bored watching them and that’s because they are always different.

The water jets can go straight up and down with great force and speed, they can graciously converge in various angles or twist, interlacing with each other.

The choreography, the lights and music change all the time – the only thing that stays the same is the WOW!

Here are some more pictures of the dancing fountains at night, viewed from the Bellagio promenade on Las Vegas strip. I have to agree that the night view is the most spectacular and also most popular. Although the lakeside promenade on the strip is quite long, there is always an incredible crowd watching the show, and people come well in advance to assure a good position… I literally had a hard time finding a place to take photos 🙂

One of my favorite activities in Las Vegas is walking on the strip and I always try to be around Bellagio at the right time for the water show:) One day I was walking on the other side and I just couldn’t resist to stop and take some photos from across the street.
