Las Vegas Strip is a tour around the World
Starting with the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign the Strip is a place of contrasts and surprises
Some think that the “Sin City” is nothing but a collection of kitsch, and in some respects it really is 🙂 but I do admire what so many artists and architects were able to build in this place situated in the middle of a desert.
To better illustrate this, here are some representative images – my favorites of Las Vegas Strip, from my Fine Art America collection, also available as prints – click on them for a larger, better view:
#1 New York, New York hotel and casino complex, replicates the New York City skyline from the 1940’s. You can from far most significant towers like the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building, and also the Statue of Liberty in front of it.
#2 Luxor Hotel and casino, featuring the Giza Pyramid and the Sphinx.
– The Pyramid is actually a 22 store hotel and on top it has the strongest beam of light in the world, of 42.3 billion candela
#3 The medieval Excalibur castle with the modern monorail riding in front of it – I called this images “Parallel worlds in Las Vegas” 🙂
#4 Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, featuring the Eiffel Tower and “Arch de Triumph”, on the Strip.
It’s well worth it to enter inside of the complex to view all the restaurants and Parisian artifacts, including the cobblestone streets and boutiques.
Arc de Triumph of Paris:

#5 Venetian Hotel is an amazing replica of the Italian World landmark. Here you can also have a ride on authentic gondolas with gondoliers singing in Italian (even though some of them are Chinese…) 🙂
#6 Bellagio Las Vegas, This hotel / casino complex was inspired by the place with the same name on Lake Como, Italy, and I found it beautiful, even though it’s just a replica in the desert of Nevada…
* You also must see the dancing fountains in front of Bellagio hotel
#7 Caesars Palace with its Colosseum,
… and also and Forums Shops which is so much more than a shopping center
Bottom line, I think that Las Vegas is a unique place, totally different from anything else in the World, and it’s wort it to visit and see it with your own eyes, at least once in a lifetime!

Cote d’Azur (Côte d’Azur) is the French name of the Blue Coastline of the Mediterranean. It is, also known as French Riviera, and the sea water is really BLUE!
** Several of the pictures above are available as art prints for Home and Wall decor in my Fine Art America France collection. Just click on the links to see:
Situated in the Southwest of France (Provence), this beautiful area is home to many landmarks and dream travel destinations. Among the most famous are: Èze, Saint-Tropez, Nice, Monaco – Monte Carlo, Sainte-Maxime, Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Cannes – the city that hosts the annual Cannes Film Festival.
Côte d’Azur is a place where many wealthy people of the world including many celebrities have their vacation homes. However it is also a very friendly tourist destination, for people of all budgets. In other words: anyone can visit it 🙂

** This was a two week trip, a gift for my birthday from my husband in the summer of 2009 🙂
Isn’t it a good reason to get emotional?
… On the way to Monaco – Monte Carlo, we stayed in a non-expensive B&B in Eze, a small medieval village on the French Riviera.
I liked the blue wooden door to our quasi rural French room. The best part is that the window and terrace were overlooking the beautiful garden. Although they served the breakfast inside, we did have ours outside, here at this table 🙂 Recently, I got inspired and made my photo as a color pencils image using the digital media:
Needles to say that the view from of the sea and coast from the village is absolutely fantastic!
We could see not only the coastline, but also the Eze medieval citadel built on the top of a big hill / mountain, raising from the sea:
** BTW: I SOLD a framed print with the view of the Viaduct to Eze Citadel, from my Fine Art America gallery! 🙂
… and here is the view of the silhouetted French Alps at sunset:
More photos of the famous Côte d’Azur and Provence are coming, but for now you can see them in my France Travel collection at Fine Art America
