Welcome to Osoyoos Canada, the warmest place in the country! Today we are here, and although the nature is sill gray, it is a nice place. The colors of the valley, lake and mountains look fantastic πŸ˜€

I thought to photograph both: the welcoming sign to this touristic town of British Columbia and the information about the place, for more accuracy. In between them you can see my husband looking down the valley. I didn’t warn him about the photo because he never likes his own picture to go public, and would have left the seen. I did my best to combine all the elements πŸ™‚

Osoyoos Welcome Sign

And here below, you can see some more shots of this so nice valley viewed from the highway:

Osoyoos Valley

The road goes down the hill in serpentine:

… and a closer look (2x in my iPhone) of the lake and the cloud reflections in the water

Osoyoos Valley

The town is in the very Southern part of the Okanagan Valley, near to the Osoyoos Indian Reserve. In fact, here we can talk about Osoyoos lake. The native population and early settles divided the main lakeΒ  by putting rocks down to build a road from one side to the other.

The weather is mild indeed, but the vegetation is still gray. Well, if you want green at this time of the year, you have to go much farther South πŸ™‚

Lake reflections

We are not going to spend the night here, as we already booked an Airbnb place in Penticton. We just took a quick tour by curiosity. I liked the reflections of the houses and trees in the mirror like water, so I got some shots.

Lake reflections

This post is part of my “Quick shots on the go” series, with not too much content, but some quick photos of places that impressed me and have to share πŸ™‚

Oh, I almost forgot: Happy International Women’s Day!!!!!!

I title this humorous photo I took in Cozumel, Mexico “Like owner like horse” πŸ™‚

If you have visited Mexico, you know that the people in this country are very creative. But all inventions have been created based on a need for them. And in Mexico, one definitely needs a hat whether a tourist or a local. The sun is harsh and you can see this on the face of the coach driver.

Like owner like horse

What I like is that he actually cares about his horse, protecting him with a similar hat just as his own πŸ™‚

Here is a vertical shot it the scene:

Chariot ride Cuzumel

Now, to be honest, the climate in Cozumel is not that hot. By the ocean there is always a breeze, but working long hours can make a difference. I mostly think however that he decorated his horse just for fun, and for advertising purposes πŸ™‚

So, as I said: Like owner like horse πŸ™‚

Does anyone still drink Corona beer? πŸ™‚ Speechless Thursday!

Look what I found on Internet:

“These People Think Drinking Corona Gives You the Corona virus”:

In many ways, the world is getting dumber. Sure, we have access to more impressive technology in the history of our species than ever before. We have devices in our pockets that, 24/7, gives us access to the collective knowledge humanity has gathered since basically the dawn of time β€” not to mention the endless possible means of communicating across the globe.

But that doesn’t matter because there are lots of folks who believe the Coronavirus is caused by Corona.

Like, drinking Corona beer will give you the possibly fatal disease. After hearing this, it’s hard not to launch into a tirade highlighting that Aldous Huxley is right β€” and that maybe the vastness of misinformation and endless echo chambers of idiocy, preaching not only ill-conceived, yet comfortable ideologies, is making humanity dumber. Just look at the news cycle and how “fake news” and meaningless stories constantly take precedence over ones with real world significance.

Now, the article above is just a funny thing I found on the Internet, a sad satire to the human ignorance.

But, the question remains to my friends: Does anyone still drink Corona beer? Ha, ha πŸ™‚

I do… It maybe actually an antidote to the virus – just kidding πŸ˜‰

PS: The only photo I found in my archives is this one above, taken in Panama City, Panama (Central America) at the street cafe.

Let’s say cheers to celebrate the ceremony of the good life, and stay on top of this! :)… and Pull up a seat!
