Sidewalk Cafes in Cologne, Germany.
It is quite common to see people having a good time at the sidewalk cafes and restaurants on the Rhine river side in Cologne, Germany.
The trees started to bloom competing with the almost always present red flowers in the Germans windows (typically Geraniums)
As per the tourists they are always out, no matter the weather – obviously, we were there too 🙂
(BTW: I keep selling this picture above as a postcard from Cologne in Zazzle)
It was a cloudy, rainy April day but not too cold… just perfect to spend a little time outside and have a beer… but a coffee works well too 😉 Just pull up a seat!
But what about some lunch?
It feels so good to have some German food whether you are a tourist or not. In one of these Sidewalk Cafes in Cologne I had my first so called Nuremberg sausages… they came with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes too 🙂
